JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – A woman walking across Eagle Bluff Road was struck by a pick-up truck just before 5 pm this afternoon.

Officials said she was walking over from the oil change shop headed to the Eagle Market when she was hit by a pick-up truck that was leaving the market.

Multiple agencies responded including the La Follette Fire Department’s Assistant Fire Chief Eddie Hatmaker (left) and Campbell County Sheriff Robbie Goins (right).

The woman, described as older, was flown by a medical helicoptor from Jacksboro Middle School to a Knoxville hospital.

First responders are preparing to fly out a female patient that was struck by a pick-up truck.

One official said the man driving the pick-up truck was cooperating with the Tennessee Highway Patrol. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 11/12/2020-6PM)
