LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – A Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputy was dispatched to the bank at the entrance to the Wier Woods Subdivision. A caller identified as Chelan Alexander Martinez called 911 and requested an officer to meet with him at the bank.

The deputy was waiting at the bank when he saw Martinez walking very unsteadily and uncontrollably jerking. He walked past the patrol car as if it was not there, according to a report from the sheriff’s department.

Martinez was approached by the deputy and questioned. Based on the report, Martinez said he was running away from two men as he pointed and said they were standing under the bank drive through awning.

The 33-year- old Martinez, arrested for the 11th time, gave a home address of 325 Hatmaker Ridge Road, Jacksboro. He was charged with public intoxication and is scheduled for court on May 11. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 04/15/2021-6AM)
