LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Caryville, Jacksboro and La Follette are adjusting to the problems at the Campbell County Sanitation Department on Towe String Road.

Caryville made changes to its procedures according to a release from Mayor Robert Stooksbury.

“The Town of Jacksboro will not be picking up anything except garbage from the citizens in the Town of Jacksboro due to the County Sanitation problems.  In other words, no brush, junk, recyclables, etc. will be picked up until further notice.  Our regular garbage routes will continue as scheduled,” said Jacksboro Mayor June Forstner.

The City of La Follette is adjusting to the challenges the Towe String Road Convenience Center is facing. Right up top. Regular sanitary trash is being picked up as usual and on schedule across La Follette.

However, until further notice, there will not be any pick-up of brush, recycle or junk in La Follette, because the Campbell County Sanitation Department is currently not able to accept these items.

    1. Thank you for your response, Regina.

No one has reached out to WLAF from the county sanitation department about current procedures like Caryville, Jacksboro and La Follette have.

Given the local municipalities cannot drop off recycles to the TSR Convenience Center likely means no one else can either.
