DUFF, TN. (WLAF)- A man who is no stranger to being arrested has found himself in handcuffs again.

On Wednesday, the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office executed a narcotics search warrant at the home of 58-year old Lester Eugene Siler, 128 Malicoat Lane, Duff.

Sheriff Robbie Goins and his officers obtained the search warrant following several undercover buys from Siler of schedule II narcotics, believed to be methamphetamine.

While at the home, CCSO investigators located a large amount of narcotics that included what they believe to be Methamphetamine and Marijuana. They also found drug paraphernalia and a large amount of cash. Siler allegedly told the officers he had been selling Methamphetamine numerous times a day for an extended period of time.

“Mr. Siler is a known drug dealer. I support the rehabilitation of offenders when possible, but those who continue to break the law have not learned a lesson. This arrest is an example of someone who didn’t learn,” said Sheriff Robbie Goins. “My office and my deputies will be there to continue to charge and arrest Mr. Siler as long as he breaks the law. If you are breaking the law in Campbell County and the sheriff’s office can provide the evidence you are breaking the law, we will charge and arrest you every time.”

Investigators went to the Malicoat Lane home of Lester Siler on Wednesday armed with a narcotics search warrant.

Siler was arrested on the scene for possession of a schedule II controlled substance for resale, believed to be Methamphetamine, possession of schedule VI controlled substance, believed to be Marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and tampering with evidence. He will also have a case presented before the grand jury concerning the undercover buys of narcotics.

Goins said his office continues to increase its efforts in pursing drug offenders.

“We know drugs are the driving factor behind most crimes committed in Campbell County,” he said. “Drug addicts break into homes looking for valuables to be used towards the purchase of drugs. Intoxicated individuals put the lives of others in their hands when they drive under the influence. Our deputies and emergency medical personnel have answered an alarming number of overdose calls recently, and the calls continue to come in. In order to clean up Campbell County, we have to continue to be strong against drug activity. Our record shows that we have been and will continue to be strong against drug activity. My staff is dedicated to this fight and I am grateful for them.” (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED 04/30/2021- 6AM)
