NEWCOMB, TN (WLAF) – Walking down the road ended with a trip to jail for a Pioneer man. Last Friday, Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputy Christopher West was on Hwy 297 in Newcomb when he noticed a man walking up the side of the road.
West stopped and spoke with the man who revealed himself to be Richard Lee Johnson. West ran a warrant check on the man, and the check yielded no warrants for Johnson.
