PIONEER, TN (WLAF) – The first benefit ride for the Campbell County Cancer Association generated $880. Fast forward 10 years, and organizers Mike and Laura Vick are pleased to announce that Saturday’s event raised more than $12,000.

A heavy downpour of rain did not slow down Saturday’s event.
Brian Ward is not only a professional auctioneer, he also rides in the event every year. Mike Vick (right) handles the emcee chores.

“Mike and Laura Vick and the Royal Blue Rangers did an outstanding job,” said CCCA Director Clarence Lowe. In the same breath, Lowe praises Ride Royal Blue host Sheila Westray. “Thanks to Sheila for all she does to make for a successful event and the many local businesses that donated auction items,” added Lowe.

People came from far and wide to participate in the weekend fundraiser at Ride Royal Blue.
