JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Open Arms Ministry Food Pantry of Campbell County, a non-profit organization staffed by volunteers, needs your help to fill its empty food boxes. “We need non-perishable foods within their expiration date. With our county recovering from COVID-19 and people returning to work, there is a need to subsidize their income with help from our pantry,” said Open Arms volunteer Terri Phillips.

Volunteers at Open Arms Ministry Food Pantry see everyday the struggle some families have with not having enough food to feed their families according to Phillips. The families that were on the edge of needing the service of a food pantry before COVID are now coming every month.

“Please donate to help us fight against hunger at Open Arms Ministry Food Pantry. Our location is 1112 McGhee Lane, Jacksboro. We will be at the pantry Monday and Tuesday 7:30am to 3:00pm for food drop off at our back door. If you need additional information, please call us at 423-566-6723,” said Phillips.

Each month the pantry helps feed 1,800 to 2,000 people in Campbell County, and donations are always needed.

Donations can be sent to P.O. Box 433, Caryville, TN, 37714.

Hours of operation of the Open Arms Food Pantry are Mondays and Tuesdays 9 am to noon and 1 pm to 3 pm. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 07/12/021-6AM)
