JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Sheriff’s deputies recently went to a mobile home on Baird Lane at Jacksboro to execute a search warrant and ended up locating their suspect in a tent in the yard near the home.

Detective Sergeant Joe Hopson and Lieutenant Mallory Campbell were working the case. Campbell discovered the suspect, 36-year old Krystle Rose Sweat of Jacksboro, in the tent with a man. The tent was secured, and then the mobile home and entire property were searched.

The lieutenant found a glass container in a bag with Sweat’s ID inside the tent according to the report from the sheriff’s office. Also located were four small corner bags with a brownish substance, consistent with Heroin inside.

The unemployed Sweat was arrested for the 26th time based on jail records. Charges include possession of a schedule I controlled substance. Sweat is due in court next Tuesday. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 11/02/2021-6AM)

  1. Who can the citizens of Campbell county write to stop this catch and release issue this county has? What can I do as a resident?

    1. Thank you for your response, Yvonne.

A starting spot is to call your district attorney general, Jarred Effler, at 423.562.4991.

      Best,

    2. District Attorney Jared Effler is the individual. His office is more interest in putting fines on them then turning them loose again to get into more trouble, then more fines. It’s all about the money!
