The others were unavailable to make the meeting due to work and school conflicts.

According to Higginbotham, the organizers worked tirelessly from beginning to end to see the project through for the betterment of the community. The clinic provided more than $91,000 in medical support and treatment for local Campbell Countians.

Remote Area Medical- RAM®, a major nonprofit provider of pop-up clinics delivering free, quality dental, vision and medical care to underserved and uninsured individual, was in Caryville the last weekend of August providing free care.

Free dental, vision, and medical services were provided on a first-come, first-served basis. All-in-all, according to RAM officials, 152 patients were seen.

Orick and Jeffries spoke, thanking the commission and the whole community for its support of the event.

“We had so many wonderful volunteers that made this happen; about 150 to 200 volunteers turned out to help and it was a team effort all the way,” Garrett Orick said. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 11/16/2021-6AM)
