New River Rising is this week’s featured artist over WLAF

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – New River Rising is the featured artist for the Postmark LaFollette Homemade Artshine Arts and Crafts Co-op and WLAF.

New River Rising is a local bluegrass/gospel band and is comprised of five local men, Travis Wright, Curtis Maiden, Luke Marlow, Arnold Lawson, and Jamie Bowling. New River Rising currently has two CDs available with a third getting ready to be released. The band has been making music together for the last eight years. They do mostly covers of songs but have started to dabble in original works.

Now with extended holiday hours; the co-op is open Monday 10-6, Wednesday and Friday 10-2 and Saturday 10-5 and is located at 119 S. Tennessee Avenue in downtown LaFollette in the former post office.
