LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Deborah Purcell (above) is the featured artist for the Postmark LaFollette Homemade Artshine Arts and Crafts Co-op and WLAF.

Purcell is an artist who works mostly in acrylics to make her paintings of people and animals. She has been drawing and painting her entire life. Art makes her happy, she finds inspiration in everything around her that is joyful and wonderful. She does an open studio at the West LaFollette community Center room 27-28 a few times a week.

Purcell moved to Campbell County 16 years ago after a career as a trial lawyer in Cleveland, Ohio. She has immersed herself in the arts in the community, even participating in the Louie Bluie Festival as well as working on various projects with Postmark LaFollette. Her art is even featured on the wine label of a local winery, Chapman Hill Winery. Deborah Purcell does an open studio at the West LaFollette community Center room 27-28 a few times a week.

Postmark LaFollette’s Homemade Artshine Arts and Crafts Co-op is open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 10-2 located at 119 S. Tennessee Avenue in downtown LaFollette. That’s in the old post office building. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 04/12/2022-6AM)
