LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – The City of La Follette has made a schedule change to its monthly workshop and regular meeting because of how the dates fall for Memorial Day. The City will hold its workshop on Monday, June 6, followed by the regular meeting on Tuesday, June 7. Both meetings will start at 5:30pm at City Hall.

The workshop agenda includes discussion of the 4th of July fireworks show, the four-way stop at South Cumberland and East Kentucky Avenues (Walker’s Grocery corner), cameras in Downtown La Follette area, the west end city limits sign, an appointment of a member, Janice Walker, to the La Follette Utility Board and beer license applicant for Main Street Tobacco and Beer.

La Follette Police Officer Aaron Adkins is up for a promotion to full-time Level II Patrol Officer.

As the new fiscal year approaches, Resolution 2022-16 – Amendment to the 2021/2022 Budget and Ordinance 2022-09 – Approval of 2022/2023 Budget, first reading, are on the agenda. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 05/27/2022-6AM)
