JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – The Town of Jacksboro once again has a full board of mayor and aldermen.

The board had two members to resign when most of the police department walked out in October, Jerri Starrett who served as vice mayor and Brian Osborn as alderman. On Thursday night, Mark Lay was appointed to fill the final open seat. The other open seat was filled by Greg Cross at the October monthly meeting when Alderman Gene Stevens was appointed as vice mayor.

In the December monthly meeting, the board approved the request to have the town’s election on the first Saturday in April. There are two four year aldermen positions, and one two year term up for election.
