JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Campbell is back on the hardwood of Prudden Court Tuesday at Oak Ridge. Connect to the Lindsay’s Carpet & Paint Center video player to watch all the action of Campbell and Oak Ridge in district match-ups beginning at 5:50pm with the Lady Cougars 6pm tip-off followed by the Wildcats and Campbell at 7:30pm. The JV Cougars game starts at 4:30.
PLEASE NOTE: The Powell games are POSTPONED for a second time. Campbell will now play AT Powell on Thu., Jan. 26.
Homecoming is Friday when Karns visits. Festivities take place after the boys game. WLAF has all the televised coverage.
The Lady Wildcats are one of the hottest teams in the area as they ride a seven game winning streak. After a 3 & 8 start to the season, Oak Ridge is up to 10 wins and sits atop the district standings at 4 & 0. Oak Ridge won 53-50 at Karns on Friday. The Lady Cougars of Campbell have an 8 & 10 mark with a district record of 2 & 1. That includes a 54-52 district loss at Karns on December 9. Campbell’s last game was a 68-40 win a week ago over Central on Brown Court.
Oak Ridge sports a 14 & 3 overall record with a 3 & 1 ledger in District 3-AAAA. Oak Ridge edged the Beavers 67-64 on Friday at Karns. However, its lone district loss came last Tuesday at West. In that game, Oak Ridge, playing without its leading scorer, Brennen Scott, had a 20 point lead in the third quarter that did not hold up. Campbell’s Cougars are 8 & 7 – 0 & 3 after a 102-91 triple overtime loss to Central at home on Jan. 10.
