LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – An apartment on Loop Road is the latest stop for the La Follette Police Department’s  Drug Unit and Special Response Team. One arrest was made.

“The target in today’s 8:30am raid at Apartment 102 of Village Apartments was 34 year old Michelle Laroe York,” said Lieutenant Matthew Forsyth. York, at times, goes by the last name of King.

“The teams did a great job, and I’m proud of them,” said the lieutenant. Forsyth doubles as LPD’s Public Information Officer and explains that undercover agents made purchases of Meth and Suboxone at this apartment over the last month.

The man seated on the front stoop, who lives in the apartment, according to police, was not charged.

As Forsyth ran a check through City Dispatch, he learned that York has a parole violation.

“York was charged with that violation along with schedule II Meth for resale and schedule IV as well as possession of drug paraphernalia,” said Lt.-PIO Forsyth. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 03/06/2023-6AM-UPDATED-03/06/2023-10AM))
