LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – An official with the Department of Children Services called La Follette Police for assistance on Tuesday morning at a home on the west side.

It was a little past 8:30am when LPD Officer Shane Tielman arrived to 713 West Hemlock Street. The officer saw Robert E. Green open the front door. Green had a warrant out for his arrest, and knowing that, Tielman told Green to come outside. Instead, Green turned away from the door.

Lt. Matthew Forsyth told Tielman that he made contact with Green who had gone into a bedroom. Tielman then came across Tracey Ford elsewhere inside the home. Like Green, Ford also had an outstanding warrant.

While Det. Danielle Gilbert was searching Ford she allegedly discovered a blue bag. There was a crystal-like substance found in Ford’s wallet, according to the report from LPD.

Green and Ford were placed under arrest.

Green, 49, 713 West Hemlock Street, La Follette was charged with attachment for child support along with resisting stop-frisk-halt-arrest or search.

Ford, 52, 713 West Hemlock Street, La Follette is facing charges of probation violation and schedule II meth. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 03/23/2023-6AM)
