LAFOLLETTE, TN. (WLAF)- A man is being airlifted for medical care after wrecking his bicycle on Highway 63.

The call for assistance came into 911 around 7:30 pm Thursday. While it was first believed the man on the bicycle had been hit by a car, authorities learned that was not the case. Instead, he wrecked the bicycle.

He was transported to the Tennova in LaFollette and is being airlifted for further treatment, according to 911 staff.
