PIONEER, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – Volunteers are needed to keep Tennessee beautiful through the Great American Clean-up. Meet tomorrow (Saturday, May 13, 9am) at the Ride Royal Blue ATV Resort Store at Stinking Creek and work until 1pm.

“Along with Ride Royal Blue ATV Resort, The Ridges at Royal Blue, Eagle Rock Resort and Campground and Rock Ridge Resort, in conjunction with Campbell County Litter Control is putting on a trail system litter clean-up of the WMA Trails at Royal Blue.

“Bags gloves, pick-up tools, containers and trailers to put trash and material in will be provided,” said Glennis Monday, Campbell County Litter Control Director.

At 1pm, volunteers will meet back at Ride Royal Blue ATV Resort, and there will be drawings for prizes that will be given away. T-shirts also will be given away as supplies last, according to Monday.

“ATVs, four-wheelers, jeeps, trucks or anything you can ride, walk, pull or push to help clean-up with is welcome. Come out and help us clean up one of the most majestic and beautiful mountain trail systems in Tennessee,” said Monday.

“Riders, hunter and anyone who loves the outdoors and mountains, let’s show Tennessee and the country how much we love this WMA Trail System,” Monday added.

Monday is aiming for 500 volunteers and says “let’s cover the trails with volunteers- nobody trashes Tennessee.”
