JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Looking for something fun to do this summer? Check out Raging Axes Family Fun Center in its new location at Jacksboro across from Community Trust Bank at Wier Woods. The business has more than doubled in size, with more pool tables, arcade games and a new virtual reality setup, party room and more. They now feature extended business hours as well.

Raging Axes Family Fun Center is this week’s WLAF “Business of the Week.”

According to Dale Baker, the business went from 1,300 square foot to 4,000 with its new location, and also has “lots more parking.”

The venue is owned by Campbell County native and military veteran Dale Baker who said he started the business to provide an opportunity for family fun in the area. 

Baker said he had watched his kids and others drive to Knoxville to do stuff over the years and wanted to provide something local in a family oriented setting.

“Growing up here we at least had the movies and arcade games in Woodson’s Mall, but now there’s nothing to do, and I’m hoping to change that,” Baker said when he opened the business a year ago. 

During the past year, Raging Axes has grown, resulting in the need for more room. According to Baker, the business went from 1,300 square foot to 4,000 with its new location, and also has “lots more parking.”

New arcade games, upgraded ax throwing lanes, double the pool tables and a newly revamped party room is part of Raging Axes Family Fun Center’s expansion.

“We re-did the party room, upgraded the ax throwing lanes, we now have eight pool tables instead of four and we’ve got several new arcade games. There’s plenty of room for everyone to come down and have a good time,” Baker said.

He also has a virtual reality game setup that currently features an escape room, rock climbing, mini golf and fishing. The escape room is especially popular! More virtual reality games will be added.

Baker has dedicated a wall for local sport’s teams jerseys and memorabilia and said anyone wanting to display local sports memorabilia is welcome to do so.

 He also offers discounts to military veterans and first responders. 

Raging Axes is located at 2620 Jacksboro Pike in Jacksboro. 

Private rentals are available for things like bachelorette parties, bachelor parties, “divorced parties”, birthdays, team bonding, and more. Reservations are open so call or come by today. 

The venue is open to all ages, but kids under 18 must have a parent or guardian present for ax throwing.
