Mary R. Knight Crutchfield

Beloved Mom & Granny,

Mary R. Knight Crutchfield, passed away peacefully at home June 17, 2023 after an extended illness. Born April 4, 1929, Mary was preceded in death by her husband Archie, son Tony, daughter Janet, parents Hubert & Petri’s Knight, and ten brothers.

She is survived by daughter Jackie (Fred) Jones of Temple, TX; son David (Debbie) Crutchfield of Greenville, SC; daughters Teresa (Greg) Adkins and Angie Crutchfield of Caryville; seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, sisters Sally Lou Monday of Knoxville, Joann Fredericks of Toledo, OH; special cousin Carolyn Taylor of Hartsville, SC; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews, friends, and special caregivers Kimberly Cupp of Caryville and Angel Hammond of Heiskel.

A member of Indian Mound Baptist Church, Mary was a faithful servant of the Lord, opening her doors to her friends and neighbors as a babysitter and a substitute mom and granny to her children’s friends. She will be greatly missed.

Services for Mary will be held on Tuesday, June 20th at Leach Family Funeral Home and Cremation from 5-7pm with the funeral to follow. Her graveside service will be held on Wed, June 21st at 11am at Campbell Memorial Gardens in Lafollette, TN. Bill Wilson will be officiating.
