JELLICO, TN. (WLAF)-   Each year, the Jellico High School Alumni Association grants a scholarship to a Jellico High School graduating senior.  This year, Alex Baird was awarded the $1,000 scholarship. 

He is the son of Carl S. Baird, Pioneer and Sharon Wilson, Jacksboro.  Among his accomplishments during his high school career, Baird was valedictorian of the class, a Beta Club member, Class of 2023 Top 10 and earned an Associate Degree from Roane State Community College.  He will continue his education at the University of the Cumberlands to obtain a degree in history and political science.

The Jellico High School Alumni Association began in 1986 and has been supporting Jellico High School with the scholarship program and other monetary donations throughout the years.
