Katherine Kay Kitts, age 67, of LaFollette

Katherine Kay Kitts, age 67, of LaFollette passed away Friday, August 4, 2023.  She was a member of Mercy Church of God and secretary for J. R. Tires, Inc. Preceded in death by Parents: Ben and Dorothy Ivey Comer, Sisters: Elizabeth Wilson and Sarah Cass, Brothers: Ben Comer and Kenneth Comer.

Survived by:

Husband: J. R. Kitts

Sons: Tony and wife Tessa Johnson and Jay and wife Ashley Kitts

Granddaughters: Jaylynn Rose Kitts, Sadie Ann Kitts and Layla Mae Kitts

Grandson: Brandon Johnson

Brothers: Jerry, J. W., Charles, Hubert, Kermit and Bill Comer

Sister: Effie Hooks

Several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends 12-2 PM Sunday, August 6, at Cross-Smith Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 2 PM in Cross-Smith Chapel, Rev. Howard Goins, Rev. Bill Floyd and Rev. Wade Walls officiating.  Interment to follow service in Powell Valley Cemetery.
