Betty W. Hatmaker, age 92, of Jacksboro passed away peacefully at her home and joined her husband in their heavenly home on Sunday, August 6, 2023. She was a founding member of Cumberland Hope Community Church/Hope & Stand Church in Jacksboro, TN. She retired from First State Bank of Jacksboro in 1982.

Preceded in death by father and mother: Lawrence D. Webb and Mary Flo Blackwell Webb, grandfather and grandmother: D. Hugh Blackwell and Mary Stella Queener Blackwell, brothers: William D. Webb, Paul Q. Webb, infant brother Wayne D. Webb, aunt: Faye York, nephews: Phillip B. Webb and David Webb

Survived by:

Son: Stephen A. Hatmaker and wife Ann

Beloved Grandchildren: Mark A. Hatmaker, Christa L. Roberts and husband Josh Roberts

Adored Great-Grandson: Malachi T. Roberts

Special Grandchildren: Ben and Maria Roberts, Tim and Tiffany Roberts

Nephews: David L. Webb and wife Janice, Dennis Webb and wife Sandra

Betty had a way of making everyone feel special and loved. She will be missed by her many family members and friends.

Special appreciation to her caregivers Cherry Williamson and Hollie Hill for all their wonderful care.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hope & Stand Church P. O. Box 210 Jacksboro, TN 37757.

Family will receive friends 11 AM to 1 PM Wednesday, August 9th at Cross-Smith Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 1 PM in Cross-Smith Chapel, Rev. Billy Smith officiating. Interment to follow at Jacksboro Cemetery.

    We just learned of Betty’s passing and want to convey our deepest sympathy! We always looked forward to her phone calls and the last time we spoke was in May! Unfortunately Mary and I failed to visit months ago! A lovely Christian who will greatly missed!
