Thelma L. Walden Davis, age 95 went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday August 8, 2023. Thelma was born on December 13, 1927 to the late Rev. Clarence Walden and Lillie Greenwell Walden. She was a member of Valley Fellowship Church of God. Thelma enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, and watching preachers on TV.

In addition to her parents, Thelma is preceded in death by her husband, James Davis; Stepdaughters, Donna Davis and Diane Brown; sisters, Mildred Jordan, Gladys Wagner, and Vivian Shelton; brothers, Carl Walden and Paul Walden; special friend, Nancy Davis.

Thelma is survived by her sisters, Velma Huckaby of Jacksboro and Doris Cook and husband Joe of LaFollette; grandchildren, Deanna Moore, Dayne Kendrick, and Devin Kendrick, and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday August 10, 2023 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home from 5 PM to 7 PM with funeral service to follow at 7 PM with Rev. Anthony Leach and J.R. Adkins officiating. The family will meet at 10:15 on Friday August 11, 2023 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home to go in funeral procession to Campbell Memorial Gardens for a 11 AM interment.
