CHET’s own clinic staff vendors are on site today from 9am to 3pm

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Community Health of East Tennessee (CHET) is celebrating National Health Center Week August 6-12. The clinic had Healthcare vendors on site on Tuesday, along with popcorn and face painting for their patients. They will have their own clinic staff vendors on site on Thursday from 9am to 3pm as well.

National Health Center Week is an annual celebration with the goal of raising awareness about the mission and accomplishments of America’s health centers over the past five decades.

According to CHET Chief Operations Officer Penny Etter, the clinic will be celebrating with special events for its staff and patients.

“At Community Health of East Tennessee (CHET), we believe in fulfilling our mission statement of ‘Answering the Need’ to the citizens of Campbell and surrounding counties.  Our clinic will celebrate with special events for our staff and patients,” Etter said.

Community Health of East Tennessee offers Primary Care, Physicals, FAA Physicals, Laboratory, X-ray, Medication Assistance, Behavioral Health, and Endocrinology, among other services.  It is also home to the only Black Lung clinic in the state of Tennessee. 

Campbell County Mayor Jack Lynch and Vice Mayor Randy Brown stopped by on Tuesday to visit with the CHET staff.

“Community Health is a great asset; perhaps one of our best assets in the whole county. You have the only Black Lung clinic in the state here, drug court recovery, pediatrics and more, all under one roof. We’re blessed to have CHET,” Lynch said.

CHET also offers a sliding fee scale for uninsured individuals and accepts all insurance plans.
