It’s Day Five in the manhunt for a suspect accused of stealing an SUV, shooting at police and running from officers.

CARYVILLE, TN.(WLAF)- The search for an armed suspect last seen near exit 141 in Caryville has not affected area businesses.

Despite a strong show of law enforcement, business owners in the area have not seen a drop in customers,

“Everything is pretty good right now,” said Jesus Torres of El Ray’s Mexican restaurant.

The suspect has been evading police officers since Friday morning after he and another male crashed a Chevrolet Equinox believed to be stolen out of Michigan, according to police. One of the men, T.J. McQueen, was apprehended Friday night.

Other businesses said their sales and foot traffic are strong as well.

It is business as usual at Stateline Liquors, according to P.K. Patel.

The Shell Station also said the manhunt has not had diminished its sales either.

Police are still searching for the other man. He has been seen numerous times near the 141 exit, police said.
