JACKSBORO, TN. (WLAF)- MyEyeDr. has welcomed a new, but not unfamiliar, optometrist into the practice. Earlier this month, Dr. Jill Cox Browning joined the staff at its Jacksboro location.

After essentially owning her own practice for 21 years, the Campbell County native decided it was time for a change. It was a decision she prayed about for a month, Browning said. As Browning weighed out her options, she consulted with her family. In talking with her husband Ryan and children Cora and Luke, she felt nothing but support, she said. Her parents, Jerry and Margetta Cox, also offered their support.

Dr. Jill Cox Browning is now with MyEyeDr. in Jacksboro.

.And after prayerful consideration, she found herself being welcomed with open arms into the clinic where husband and wife team, Andy and Liz Howard are at the helm.

“The staff at her new job made the transition easier,” Browning said.

Leaving the clinic where she had been for the majority of her career was bittersweet, but she wants her patients to know she is still available, just at a new location, she said.

“I am so thankful for my patients. They trust me with their most precious sense,” she said. With appointments four days a week, Browning is hopeful her patients will visit her at her new job.

“I want to take care of people as I always have. I want to care for their vision along with their souls,” she said.

Browning is 1991 Campbell County High School graduate. While there, she excelled on the basketball court earning a scholarship to Cumberland College. After that she attended the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis.

The clinic is located at 2561 Jacksboro Pike, Jacksboro. The phone number to schedule appointments is (423) 562-1531.

MyEyeDr accepts all visions plans along with most commercial plans as well as Medicaid. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED 8/30/2023- 6AM)
