JACKSBORO, TN. (WLAF)- The Town of Jacksboro is having a community fall festival Sat., Oct. 14 from noon to 8pm.

The town will shut down Main Street to host the all day festival that promises food, music and activities for all ages. From the stop light at the post office to the intersection just past the town hall, the area will be dedicated to the festival.

“We wanted to bring the community together and give something back,” said Jeff Allen, one of the event organizers. “We hope to make this an annual event.”

Currently, there are eight musical acts slated to perform on the main stage including the Roberts Sisters.

The streets will also be lined with food vendors.

Volunteers are needed to help with the festival, according to Allen.

Students needing community service hours are encouraged to contact the Jacksboro Town Hall at 423-562-9312. They can obtain eight hours by assisting with the festival, he said.

For more information about the festival call Jacksboro Town Hall.
