LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Rotarian David Hickman was recognized with his second Paul Harris Fellowship Award for his continuing contributions to Rotary.

Rotary Club Foundation Committee Chair and David’s father Logan Hickman presented David Hickman with a Paul Harris pin in recognition of his continued support and donations to Rotary.

David Hickman had received his first Paul Harris Fellowship award when he was president of the club, and he has continued to make donations.

“David continues to make a commitment to the Rotary Foundation which enables us to do grants throughout the year,” Logan Hickman said.

Rotary Club President Brandon Johnson thanked David for all he does for the club and for his personal commitment.

In other Rotary news, the club’s Golf Tournament is Wed., Sept. 27 at the Deerfield Greens.

Currently 20 teams are signed up, according to organizer Regina Blankenship.

“We need people to participate, this raises funds for rotary community projects,” Johnson said.

He reported that one way Rotary is spending those funds is by sending two Campbell County youth to the Rotary Youth Leadership summit in Cookeville. Bella Lester and Eva Pemberton are representing the South Campbell County Rotary Club at that upcoming summit.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 09/20/2023-6AM)
