JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Campbell County Mayor Jack Lynch recently made a discovery; he came across some classic artwork of the McCloud Mountain Restaurant.

It’s from 2013 and was created by the late Jimmy Cole. Cole died in a plane crash in August of last year.

McCloud Mountain was the place where Cole and others hand glided off from to soar the valley.

La Follette High School classmates, the late Jimmy Cole (left) and David Stout (right) have fun with a photo at the 2022 LHS Class of ’72 reunion just weeks before Cole’s tragic death.

Cole’s creation now hangs in the hallway outside the county mayor’s office. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 10/17/2023-6AM)
