There were six overdoses last Wednesday at the Campbell County Jail

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Illegal drugs continue making their way into the Campbell County Jail. As a result there was another overdose. It occurred on Sunday morning not long after 8 am.

The inmate, a male, was transported by the Campbell County EMS to the La Follette Medical Center Emergency Room.

Last Wednesday, around 1am, six female inmates overdosed.

  1. Seems like Sheriff Barton has some employees he needs to look into. How else can drugs get in?

  2. Might take a closer look at the employees inside the jail. I had a relative work there for a short time and you would be amazed at the stories she could tell.

  3. If he looked into who was working both days. He might can pin point about where they come from. He needs to get control over his crew.. the drugs didn’t just fall out of the ceiling. Take a good look at who was there and who you had working inside the laundry room, kitchen, out on garbage pickup even car washing. Somebody needs to do something. You aren’t even safe in jail.
