LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – A Dandridge man remains housed in the Campbell County Jail this morning after a Tuesday afternoon traffic stop on the four lane.

Timothy S. Gibbs, 45, of Jefferson County, was pulled over by a trooper with the Tennessee Highway Patrol around 2pm Tuesday.

Gibbs allegedly violated a traffic control signal and was stopped by the trooper on Jacksboro Pike in front of the Advance Auto Parts store.

Aside from that violation, Gibbs was charged with DUI (driving under the influence), the seatbelt and hands free laws along with a hold for Claiborne County.

Gibbs, who has a $3,000 bond, is due in court on April 2. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 03/22/2024-6AM)
