On Sunday, Hannah Baird snapped a photo of the soon-to-be-demolished bridge on Old Stinking Creek.

STINKING CREEK, TN (WLAF) – Sunday was the last full day of operation for one of Campbell County’s oldest bridges. Campbell County Road Superintendent Ron Dilbeck wants travelers to be aware that the road at the east side of Old Stinking Creek Road was shut down starting this morning, Mon., Nov. 16.

From 1929 until 2020, this old bridge carried folks over Stinking Creek for nearly a century.

The road will be closed for an unknown amount of time as the bridge is being replaced. Residents will need to take the Old Stinking Creek Road loop back around to the west entrance of the road. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 11/16/2020-6AM-PHOTOS COURTESY OF HANNAH BAIRD)
