LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – The driver of one of the vehicles in a Thursday morning head on collision died from injuries sustained in the mishap.

Police tell WLAF that Adam Chapman of La Follette died when his Ford CUV and a Dodge pick-up truck hit head on on the four lane near the KROME Salon just after 8:30 am. According to one officer, Chapman was flown out by a medical helicopter and died later Thursday morning at a Knoxville hospital.

Chapman was the lone occupant of the blue Ford.

Chapman was pinned in his car and was extricated by members of the La Follette Fire Department.

Later in the day on Thursday, the driver of the pick-up truck was airlifted to a Knoxville hospital.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 02/04/2021-1PM)

  2. I had the honor of working with Adam for almost 10 years. He was a very intelligent, talented and entertaining guy to be around. I’m sorry for all of his coworkers who will miss him dearly, and praying for his family who must miss him more than words can possibly describe. He spoke of his wife and kids often and was very proud of them. I’m so sorry for the loss of this great man.
