DUFF, TN (WLAF) – A call for possible domestic violence sent Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputy Christopher West to Hatmaker Hollow Lane last Saturday. When West arrived, he spoke with a female who identified herself as Mary Lambdin and told him she was the one who had made the 911 call. West noticed the woman appeared to be intoxicated.

She began to tell West that a white male had taken “a little handicapped girl” against her will, and then stole a vehicle belonging to Lambdin and left the residence. She also told West that the white male took the little girl into the woods with the intent to rape her, according to a report from the Sheriff’s Department.

Soon, West saw a white male and a white female arrive at the residence in the allegedly stolen vehicle. Upon speaking with the pair West observed the “little handicapped girl” to be 30 years of age. The female told West that she consented to leaving with the male, and West also learned the male had ownership of the vehicle that he allegedly stole from Lambdin. He then spoke with another female at the home who was the mother of the “little handicapped girl.” She explained to West that her daughter is an adult and capable of making her own decisions, and that she consented to leaving with the man. The woman told West that Lambdin was highly intoxicated, and she warned her about filing a false police report prior to her calling 911.

Mary Melinda Lambdin, 39, 208 Hatmaker Hollow Lane, Duff is charged with filing false report or bomb threat, disorderly conduct and other.
