LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – LaFollette Veterinary Services is under new ownership by a familiar face. Long-time Veterinary technician Kristy Templin and her husband purchased the business last October after Dr. Bill Sanders retired.
Sanders had been the vet and owned the business for the last 25 years. Templin had worked there since she graduated from Lincoln Memorial University in 1997. She said she couldn’t imagine doing anything else. “This is what I have done my whole life, so when Dr. Sanders decided to retire, I knew I wanted to buy it,” Templin said. LaFollette Veterinary is a full service veterinary clinic that accepts large and small animals and also offers boarding and grooming.
For customer convenience, the vet also offers a drive up window for prescription pickups. Appointments are recommended for boarding and grooming, as well as medical care, unless it’s an emergency. “If it’s an emergency, we don’t turn anyone away,” Templin said.
Dr. Jenni Godfrey is the veterinarian on staff. She has been with LaFollette Veterinary Services since 2016. Other employees include Savannah Berry, Kristin Miller, Allie Bean, Lindsey Hutson, and Hannah Vinsant. According to Templin, she is working her dream job of helping animals.
“I love my job, I’ve got a great group of employees; I couldn’t ask for better,” Templin said.
LaFollette Veterinary Services is located at 1621 East Central Avenue, in LaFollette near the Food Lion. It is open Monday through Friday from 8am to 6pm and closed Saturday and Sunday. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call 423.562.0060. Check out their Facebook page for specials and announcements. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 05/21/2021-6AM)
