Lois J. Byrge passed away on Sunday May 30, 2021.  She was a member of High Street Baptist Church. Lois enjoyed flea markets, yard sales, making jewelry, find-a-word puzzles, cheering on the Vols and Lady Vols’ basketball team, and spending time with her family. She was a true country girl.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James F. Byrge; her parents, Alfred and Mildred Gossett; and brother, Roy Gossett.

She is survived by sons, James Byrge and wife Tammy of LaFollette and Garry Gibson of Harrogate; daughter, Vickie Sexton and husband Ben of LaFollette; grandchildren, David, James, Trevor, Jeremiah, Joshua, Brigiette, Cari, and Lori; great-grandchildren, Richard, Archer, Addison, and Trinity; and her best friend and companion, Steve Payne.

Visitation will be held from 5 PM to 7 PM Friday, June 4, 2021 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 7 PM with Rev. James Adkins officiating. Internment will be Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 12 PM at the Dupont Cemetery in Seymour, TN.

The family has entrusted the care of Lois J. Byrge to Martin Wilson Funeral Home “Where Families Matter Most.”
