Merle Irene Johnson, age 83 of Cincinnati, OH, went home to be with the Lord on January 3, 2022. She was born on October 2, 1938 to the late Willie and Eunice (Bruce) Chapman. She was a loving wife of over 60 years and a very loving mother that enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed working and attending church at West View United Methodist Church, where she was a member for many years.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughters Wendy and Terri.

She is survived by her loving husband Clifford Johnson; son Darrall Johnson of Cincinnati, sister Jean Cooper of Alabama; 13 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Sunday January 9, 2022, from 1 PM to 2 PM in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home. Funeral service to follow at 2 PM with Rev. Sampson Ridenour officiating. Burial to follow at Bakers Forge Cemetery.
