Willard Chapman, age 87 of Jacksboro, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 12, 2022. He was a loving and devoted husband, dad, papaw, brother, and uncle. He loved being outdoors enjoying God’s creation. Everyone who knew him, knew he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was also a retired block and brick mason of over 50 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents Esker and Retha (Wilson) Chapman; grandparents Frank and Hellon (Sharp) Chapman and Will and Alice Wilson; brothers Esker Chapman (Junior) and Rex Chapman.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Maxine (Sharp); daughter Tammy and husband Tony Fraley; granddaughters Tosha (Drew) Slice, Kristen (Brandon) Bryant, and Autumn Fraley; two great-grandsons whom he adored, Kaden Slice and Tatum Fraley; sister Cliva (Jim) Fraley; several nieces, nephews, friends, and relatives.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 15, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 PM, in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 11:00 AM with (cousin) Rev. Bobby Ray Wilson and Rev. Jimmy Ault officiating with interment to follow at Cumberland View Cemetery.
