James “Jim” Robert Novotny, age 69, of Lake City

James “Jim” Robert Novotny, age 69, of Lake City, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Jim was born August 15, 1952 in Dickinson, North Dakota to the late Louis and Martha Kostolecke Novotny. He was a truck driver for LandAir. Jim loved motorcycles and was an avid “Harley Man”. He enjoyed playing with his dogs, grilling out, camping, spending time with friends, and being outdoors. 

Jim is survived by:

Wife of 11 Years  Barbara Novotny of Lake City

3 Children

Brothers  Jeff Novotny of North Dakota and Ray Novotny of North Dakota

Brother in Law  Roy Lee of Indiana

Special Friends  Barbara “Barb” Heatherly and Phil Smith of Kentucky

                           Mary Sherwood of Clinton

And a host of other family members including many grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as many friends

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Lake City Police Department and Lake City Fire Department for their compassion and help during a difficult time.
