LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – The LaFollette Regional Planning Commission had its monthly meeting Thursday afternoon at City Hall.

First up was a site plan request. Dewayne and Lisa Cooper want to combine two  parcels into one on South Massachusetts Avenue. The request was granted.

Next, a suspension of rules was made to add an item to the agenda. Bob Fannon came before the commission seeking approval for a short term rental property on North Indiana Ave. It would be a weekly rental and would hold a maximum of 8 people. He would provide plenty of parking and there would be no street parking. The commission granted the request.

Lastly, another short term rental request was made by Courtney Maxwell of JCK, LLC. This rental would be located on South 9th street across from the library. Parking, as far as trucks hauling trailers, was a concern of the commission. However, the owners assured the commission that renters would be made aware of limited space before booking with them.
