Mr. Robert Allen (Bobcat) Childs, age 66 of Madisonville, KY formerly of LaFollette passed away Sunday, November 27, 2022 after a short illness.  He was previously employed as a Technical Director with Midland Powder, Evansville, IN and Blasting Technician with Austin Powder, LaFollette, TN.  Preceded in death by Parents, Eugene (Red) and Jean Childs.

Survivors: Wife, Nancy Childs; Stepson, Scott Chamness; Brothers, David Childs, Michael Childs and Wife, Beverly, and Charles Childs and Wife, Wanda; Sisters, Debbie (Childs) Daniels, and Pam Childs; Special Friend, Sid Sanderson, and lifelong friend, Wendell Johnson.  Several Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Family and friends will meet Friday, December 2, 2022, 10:30 A.M. at Walters Funeral Home and proceed to Woodlawn Cemetery for an 11:00 A.M. Graveside Service with Rev. Johnny Dabney officiating.  The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105 or at www.stjude.org.  Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Robert Allen (Bobcat) Childs.

  2. RIP good friend though we have been apart so many years I will always remember the good times we had when we were young and fearless I am glad we grew up together up on the south hill forever in my heart Bobcat from your old friend underdog
