LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – From looking at the old pictures of Lafollette and Campbell County, many people don’t know or realize that even in the early 1900s some of the modern conveniences that were available.  

Here is a look at the 1916 Cumberland Telephone & Telegraph Company Telephone Directory.

Amazing that it’s not just a local service, but it was also a long distance.   Some of the night photographs of downtown Lafollette long before 1936 when TVA came on line, there were lights and signs a glowing in the darkness. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 01/05/2023-6AM)
