LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – A La Follette man, indicted by the Campbell County Grand Jury last week and wanted on an active capias/bench warrant from criminal court, is behind bars this morning. Daniel Sebby, saddled with a $300,000 bond, awaits an April 17 court date. Sebby was involved in an horrific car accident last May that resulted in the death of an expectant mother who was near full term. See the related story HERE.

Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputy Jackie Heatherly was on routine patrol on Old Middlesboro Highway just before 1am Monday and came in contact with Sebby as he was fishing off Miller’s Bridge. Central dispatch confirmed Sebby was wanted on an outstanding warrant and placed him under arrest.

Police said Sebby was behind the wheel of a GMC SUV when it backed over a curb at the La Follette Medical Center parking lot, tumbled down a steep embankment landing on its top and ejecting 37-year old Tabatha Boring. Boring died from her injuries. However, her baby miraculously survived. Boring and Sebby shared the same La Follette address, according to La Follette Police.
