TOP PHOTO: A camper was a total loss after being consumed by fire on Sunday.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Homes and structures close to where a camper burned were saved Sunday evening due to quick work by members of the Campbell County Rural Fire Service.

At 6:05pm Sunday, the Campbell County Rural Fire Service was dispatched for a report of a camper on fire on Longmire Lane off Loop Road just outside the City of La Follette. Upon arrival crews found the camper fully involved.

CCRFS units rolled up and battled a camper fire on Sunday on the south side of La Follette.

Firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading to nearby structures. There were no injuries. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 07/31/2023-6AM)

  1. Caryville fire department saved my house from burning down a few year’s ago after the wildfires got to close it burned my brother’s cabin behind my house and a neighbors cabin which was the next house down I’m very grateful to them
