LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Boy Scouts of America Troop 310-Cedar Hill Baptist Church marked its fifth year last month, and on Saturday, the troop held its first US flag retirement and veteran recognition ceremony at Woodson Mall – Food City Center. In the middle of the day under a sunny sky, people dropped off their worn flags, and scouts honorably retired the flags.
The scouts and Scoutmaster Chris Thacker, BSA Troop 310-Cedar Hill Baptist Church, had boxes set up for attendees to drop off names of veterans to be recognized this morning. Thacker adds, “If you were not able to stop by and give us your veteran’s name, please add it in the comments/leave a reply section at the bottom of this story.” Twelve new names were added on Tuesday morning.

Boy Scout Troop 310 is also supported by many first responders in Campbell County. First responders were on hand Saturday in support of the scouts as visitors filed through to express their appreciation to them for taking care of everyone in this difficult year.
