Franklin “Frank” Delano Payne, age 83, of LaFollette, TN went home to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday morning, September 25, 2021.  He was born in Anthras, TN in 1938.  He served in the United States Air Force.  Retired from Bechtel Engineering as a System Analyst, member and Deacon of First Baptist Church of LaFollette.  He loved working in Campbell County history and was talented computer programmer.  He recently became an author. 

Frank is preceded in death by Parents: Howard and Ruth Payne, Brothers: Jim and Juanita Payne and Alfred Payne, Sister: Arlie (Payne) and Arvil Carr.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Pat Greene Payne

Children: Marc Payne (Jill) of Knoxville, Tina Payne (Don Boshears) of Jacksboro

Grandchildren: Megan Kitts Collier (Dustin) of Kingsport, Hannah Kitts Smock (Blaise) Rebecca, Julia, Andrew, Savannah Payne, Savannah Fasnacht and Matthew Bowlin all of Knoxville.

Sister: Betty Payne Heatherly (Emerson) of Highpoint, NC

Friends may come by Cross-Smith Funeral Home 10 AM -12 noon Tuesday, September 28.  A private service will be held with Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery.
