CAMPBELL COUNTY, TN. (WLAF)- With a few days in left in 2023, it is time to look back on the stories that captured the attention of WLAF viewers and readers. Today, we look at some of the stories of January, February and March.

January

A man who has been arrested several times for traffic violations is back in the Campbell County Jail this morning on what was his 33rd arrest, according to jail records. Roy Lee Green was arrested in the pre-dawn hours of on Glade Springs Road; he faced multiple charges. Police said Green is an habitual traffic offender. CLICK HERE for the full story.

Investigators with La Follette Police executed a narcotics search warrant at sun at a home at the corner of Loop Road and South 13th Street. As a result, one person was taken away in handcuffs. CLICK HERE for the full story.

February

Larry Edward Lovitt, II

Larry Edward Lovitt, II, 29, of Jellico was charged with attempted second-degree murder.  A White Oak woman received a single gunshot wound at a home on Little White Oak Road. Lovitt was charged in the incident. CLICK HERE for the full story.

The Campbell County Middle School Fishing team of Malone and Malone won the TBF Juniors Tournament and claimed the big fish award. CLICK HERE for the full story.

Margo White- Oden, a woman who drove her car into a tree severely injuring her three children, had her case was reset for the 10th time. CLICK HERE for the full story. The case is still pending.

Members of the La Follette Rescue Squad rescued one man and recovered the body of another in a bulldozer accident that happened along New River Creek. The accident, off Clinchmore Road, wasn’t called in to central dispatch until the next day. CLICK HERE for the full story.

A multi-agency drug interdiction operation resulted in numerous arrests and the seizure of more than a pound of fentanyl and two pounds of methamphetamine. CLICK HERE for the full story.

Cherry Street in LaFollette became a one- way street.
